Vodafone announces Rs 458 and Rs 509 plans. See what they offer

The data war is refusing to die down and instead it seems like a raging fire now. Now Vodafone has added more oil to the fire by launching two more prepaid plans priced at Rs 458 and R
s 509.

As per reports, both the plans offer unlimited local and STD calls and free roaming but has a ceiling of 250 calls per day and 1000 minutes per week limit . Besides they offer 100 SMS per day as well as 1 GB 4G/3G data. The Rs 458 plan comes with 70 days of validity while Rs 509 plan comes with 84 days of validity.

The plans look good considering their validity. But similar plans is being also offered by Jio whose Rs 459 plan offers 1 GB data and has better 84 days validity. Jio's Rs 509 plan has 2 GB per day.

Yesterday, Vodafone launched a Rs 38 validity pack for its prepaid users that offer 100 MB 3G/4G data for about a month. Called Vodafone Chotta Champion, this will allow users to stay connected at very cheap price.
Recently, Jio started a new price war after it announced a cash back offer on certain recharges. This was later followed by Trai's announcement that it will examine offers of telecos to see whether they are as per regulations or not.

But in this catfight the consumer are certainly the gainers for the moment.
